Colin Beiers, Collective Habitat

As part of the Collective Habitat 1997 – 2012 exhibition, Gallery Gachet presents an artist talk and forum: Collective Legacies taking place on Sat Jan 19th, 4 – 6pm at 88 East Cordova.

Moderated by the Collective Habitat Curator, Bernadine Fox, the talk features six artists from the Collective Habitat exhibition: Rebecca Chunn, Cherise Clarke, Quin Martins, Bill Pope, Steve Borton and Karen Ward. The artists will speak about their exhibited artworks and their evolving personal relationships with Gallery Gachet.

Following the talk, join us for an open discussion forum on issues relating to Gachet, its history, place in the art world, inherent challenges, and possibilities for the future. Join us, especially if you are a past member or have had any associations with Gachet, to talk about our 20-year legacy as a unique artist-run centre – help us imagine what moving forward will look like, as we integrate lessons from past challenges.

Join us for tea and cake and the special launch of our Collective Habitat exhibition catalogue! Be the first to get your copy of the historical record of Gallery Gachet.
