Madness Matters

A Film Screening + Panel Discussion
Friday, Nov. 29th, 7 – 9pm

Please join us, Friday November 29th at Gallery Gachet for an evening of reflection, discussion and connection!

4_Poster_Crooked-Beauty_for-webArtQuake is pleased to announce our first Community Dialogue of the programming year. We will screen Crooked Beauty by Ken Rosenthal and a selection of films produced by youth from Reel Youth films.
” A mesmerizing narrative that explores the role extreme emotional states can play in imagination and creativity, the physchosocial and personal causes of mental distress and approaches to medication and treatment,” Crooked Beauty will challenge viewers to think critically about the complexities of mental health.

In addition four by youth for youth films focusing on the mental health as it relates to youth will be screened, thanks to the talented youth at Reel Youth Films.
All films will be followed by a panel discussion; viewer participation is encouraged in creating a rich and meaningful discussion. This is an inclusive, safe event–we welcome all folks looking to learn and discuss the issues of mental health as it pertains to youth artists.

Sponsored by Reel Youth Films/ www.reelyouth.ca | This event is FREE and open to the public.
Edible treats will be sold in addition to raffle prizes!
