How to support Gallery Gachet

Dear friends and community,

Thank you so much for your many messages of support and inquiries about how to support Gallery Gachet, given recent news of a funding cut (gallery gachet’s fundings cut). On Thursday, September 10th we held an emergency meeting to further update our community and to advance our response to this situation. Thanks to all those who attended and shared their good wishes and ideas.

Here are some suggestions on how best to support Gallery Gachet at this time. Please take time to send a letter to the representatives who are responsible for this decision and/or who should hear more about the quality of Gallery Gachet’s work and the need for our continuity. Please indicate your connection to Gallery Gachet and how the space has contributed to mental health care and to the Downtown Eastside community. Letters can be sent to:

Currently we are compiling stories in video, audio, and written format that give testimonial of the ways in which Gallery Gachet has been a part of your life. We will post additional updates on that process shortly.

Finally, we have received many questions about how to donate financially to our fundraising efforts. There is a donate button on our website to contribute via Pay Pal and we accept cheques and cash donations at the gallery.
