Mad Pride Parade
Friday, July 14th, from 11.30am
Mad Pride is an international movement created by psychiatric survivors, consumers, folks labeled “mentally ill” — all of us that proudly reclaim the words mad & crazy, and those in solidarity with us. We are mad. We are crazy. And we are damn proud to be. We believe madness is a completely sane and well-adjusted response to living in such a mad world.
All of this madness will culminate in a Mad Pride Parade taking place on Friday, July 14th 2017, as part of International Mad Pride.

Meet at Gallery Gachet, 88 East Cordova at 11:30 to make your mad costume, prop or sign then join us as we head out into the neighbourhood with music from the Carnival Band in tow. We’ll make stops at Openheimer Park and the Carnegie Community Centre before heading back to back to Gallery Gachet for a casual gathering and light snacks.
