Neurotika Blog – Negation.

There are three levels of perception.  1. Surface Knowledge.  2. The Negative Image.  And 3,  Deeper sanity.  The first field of the senses is concerned with the rational -and it’s concourse.

The negative image -is what I call ‘Negation.’   When the sun shines -there is a shadow.  When we speak of Heaven -we are concerned with Hell.  If there is God -there is the dark reflection -of what is known as a silhouette.  The negative image blocks us -a thing of madness or of nonsense.  When the first psychologists spoke of the unconscious -they referred to processes of the illogical Id. The surrealists were inspired to evoke this essence of disjointed absurdity.  In their pictures they illuminated the delirium of their souls -Dali, Magritte and others -attempted to delineate what Frued spoke of -when he explained about the hidden forces of the mind.
So surface knowledge was circumvented -and men explored the reality of the negative image. This was called the sub-conscious realm of what lived under the sensual world.  The negative image is made of different pieces of discarded thoughts -of evil -and it’s confluence -of devils -who rule the night -of creatures and monsters -and witches -all negative and contrary.  Negation is the refusal against the conscious way of thinking.  Ideas of consequence and fear of punishment -is all a crust of awareness that is fixated in the back of the mind.  Through a lifetime -abuses and terrors are pushed to the trash-heap of the soul.  These merge together -and cause a blockage.  Grime and sludge are soon formed into a wall -what is the negative wall.  If there is a God -his shadow is the devil -and all the dreads of wrath and judgement.  We are faced with the negation -of life.
So surface knowledge is a shallow pool of sanity -faced with all the mysteries of the universe. Such an attitude is always of a man seeking an ultimate truth -but doomed to hopelessness.  The so-called ego -is an island of literal perception -a connotation of reality.  In this way things are cut down to size.   We come to conclusions based on what we see with our senses.  We assume that truth needs a simplified solution.  We are kept in the world of daylight -with the darkness behind us.  Negation is always a reaction against what we see as revelation.   The man will contemplate for years -and come to a place -where he says ‘This is where I am’ and he goes no further.  He believes he has found the truth and there is no more to be said -he is ‘enlightened’.  He stops in the midst of the journey -and comes to a comprehension.  The Truth is seen -as ‘unity’ -and all other things are false and misleading.
To such a man -negation is the edge of the world -there is no more beyond this ebony wall.  Therefore truth is where you find it.  Negation -is extremely difficult to pass through -it stands to reason that only the very few have seen beyond it.  Negation is madness and nonsense.  When Dali painted melting clocks he was expressing the inconceivable. There was a strangeness -and a force of will -to resuscitate deeper meanings and truths.  Still the only way to do this -was to speak of dreams that were disjointed and demented in some way.  So Dali was like the psychologist -exploring new frontiers of spirit -he was retrieving things from the seas of chaos.  In this way -he was inconsistent and incomplete.  The nonsense of negation blocked him from explorations.  He could have dug deeper and gone beyond the madness -of the frozen crust.  If he had done this -he would have found a deeper sanity.  This is the source of all stories and tales.  Beyond the negation is the beginning of creativity.
In the third level -is the thing that lives below the outer skin of consciousness. The skin is that which covers this sweetness and wisdom.  The negation is this sediment of awareness.  To go deeper away from nonsense is to be faced with metaphor and meaning.  Negation is anti-intellect and anti-life in its purpose -it hates all ideas and revelations.  It is created out of hate -and paralyses the thought patterns.  As we break through this ice -we are now made aware of the deeper sanity.  It is a place of symbolic correspondences.  It is a thing of optimism and joy -the negation is cast aside and we face the impossible -this deeper sanity -is what gives us the ability to imagine and to dream.
