Dancing In The Rain
Tuesdays: 1-3pm | Jan. 12th, 19th, 26th and Feb. 2nd
Come join us! Together, we will plan a procession through the streets. Gearing up for HomeGround Festival 2016, we will plan a magical moving performance from Gallery Gachet to Oppenheimer Park. Each participant will be provided with an umbrella, an iconic and essential tool in moving around the city of Vancouver. Over the course of four 2-hour sessions on Tuesdays in January 2016, we will explore the notion of “gesture” and how gesture can be used in public space to communicate when “voice” may not be an option. We will put all of these explorations together into a choreographed performance: a procession – rain or shine! – from Gallery Gachet to Oppenheimer Park.
