Events and workshops in October

Gallery Gachet workshops at EWMA
Gallery Gachet is pleased to announce our new workshop series in partnership with Enterprising Women Making Arts (EWMA)! On select Mondays from 4-6pm Gallery Gachet artists will lead a diverse array of workshops on different themes and mediums. Keep an eye out each month for new workshops.

Workshops are free and open to women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside community. EWMA is located at 800 E Hastings, between Hawks and Campbell Ave.

Bead Loom Workshop at EWMA | Monday, October 3rd | 4-6pm

Participants will learn to bead on a loom, including warping, beading, and finishing. Together we will make beaded bracelets. At the end of the workshop participants will take their handmade beaded bracelets home.

Plexiglas Workshop at EWMA | Monday, October 17th | 4-6pm
Don’t draw? No problem. Using clear, hard plastic panels we will trace a design and colour it in with paint. An easy way to add a little brightness to your window.

Sewing Circle at EWMA | Monday, October 24th | 4-6pm

As the air turns crisp with Fall right around the corner, it’s a great time to pick up that sewing project you’ve been meaning to get to. Come and join us in and informal sewing group on the second and fourth Monday of every month. Enjoy some uninterrupted time and space to work on your projects. Share tips, ideas and suggestions with other sewing gals.
