365 Days
Exhibition runs: January 31st, 2014 – March 2nd, 2014
Opening Reception: Fri, January 31st, 2014 7.00-10.00pm
Evan Sabourin’s ‘365 Days’ recounts some of his successes and failures of a year in recovery from addiction, including a spray painted narration of his personal understanding of the ’12 steps’, ethos of the programs like AA and NA. It is with these and other models of recovery that Evan builds a narrative that is at once funny, sad and politically illuminating. The journey, which begins with themes of early recovery, is at times uncomfortable and shameless, and is relevant to most anyone with a desire to make changes, self improvement or an inkling towards the lugubrious.
