RED – Noelle Nadeau
Gallery Gachet is pleased to present “Red”, the third and final installment in an annual exhibition series by Vancouver artist and Gachet member, Noelle Nadeau.
In addition to the showing of the duo shows “Blue” in 2004 with Laurie Marshall, and “Green” in 2005 with Cherise Clarke, Noelle is now embracing Red – the third colour of the additive primaries that in summation create white light – the colour of the root Chakras that connects us to earth, heritage, archetypes, and ancestral knowledge, the base of the Kundalini and source of unfolding energy. The show will be by silent auction and half of the proceeds from the sale of her paintings will be donated to the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education.
Noelle Nadeau explores movement, emotion, surface, texture and colour primarily through the means of oil paint in abstract form. She often begins with an emotion or idea and lets the paint and mixed media lead her on a journey. The third in this series, Red, has been particularly healing and explorative for Noelle. She is currently a Collective member of Gallery Gachet.
