Guerrilla Art is a public art poster project of provocative artwork and poems by Bruce Ray, a longstanding member of Gallery Gachet. Ray’s posters are socially and critically charged works that speak directly to political critique and issues around mental health, while the poster format emphasizes accessibility for viewing his artwork at street-level. Honour Their Names is an art-show and organizing space, planned to mark International Day Against Police Brutality (March 15). This event takes place on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations. From March 15-19 the show will be exhibited at Gallery Gachet, alongside workshops & programming that honours Indigenous people shot and killed by the cops. / Justice for Jared is an Indigenous-led campaign bringing attention to the RCMP murder of Jared Lowndes, and the high rates of cops killing Indigenous folks across so-called Canada. This work is led by Jared’s mother Laura Holland, a Wet’suwet’en woman. On July 8, 2021, Laura’s eldest son, Jared Leigh Lowndes was murdered by the Campbell River RCMP. Following that horrific incident, Laura has taken to the streets and called for action every month, on the 8th, to recognize the injustice of Jared’s murder. She is standing up for Jared, and all Indigenous people killed by police across so-called Canada. You can find more info at 
ELBO
ELBO is an impressive survey of paintings, drawings and sculptures by Laurie Marshall, who signs his work under the moniker, ‘elbo’. Laurie’s dense pictorial fields draw you in with textural complexity; layer upon layer, over and over, paint is built-up and scrapped back – heavily contoured subjects held together by interlacing daubed marks.
